    Yes Marie, you can bake it but be sure to cover it with aluminum foil and expert recommended not to bake it more than 130 centigrade. If baking temperature requires more than that you can use a ball of crumpled aluminum foil alone. There is another material(starch-based packing peanuts) that can be used , but I haven't tried it yet.
