Extruded Retro Cane

I enjoyed making this cane, it is simple and easy to make but you must have an extruder to achieve this design. This cane can be use to design your bracelet, or maybe candle holder or your plain jewelry box. Just slice a thin slice of the cane and cover the objects you want to decorate.

Capiz Bracelet

I decided to make this wonderful cane and I patterned it to a Capiz shell. The Window Pane Oyster, commonly known as Capiz, is a bivalve marine mollusk commonly found in the province of the Philippines, Capiz. These shells has a translucent effect that makes it useful as an alternative to glass and makes a beautiful window panes and lanterns. I remember going for a Christmas vacation in my father's hometown and seeing these wonderful lanterns made from capiz shells. These capiz shells can be stained to make different shades of color and yet still has it's translucency. These are durable and strong that can be used as a kitchen utensils, lampshades, chandeliers and even jewelries. They are quite expensive these days. I hope you'll enjoy this tutorialas much as I enjoyed it.

Home Made Air Dry Clay

Hello Friends, It's been a long time since I updated my blog. I wanted so much to share this simple project that I know some of you have tried or thinking about trying. I have been making my own air dry clay using cornstarch and PVC glue. I can say that I really like the result. Although, using air dry clay has some pros and cons. For one, air dry clay shrink about 30% of the actual size, so when making your projects you really have to consider making it a bit bigger. On the other side, this air dry clay is really durable as it gets drier so it is good on delicate designs such as petals and jewelries.  Using PVC white glue results in porcelain like finish. Here are some of the examples I made with air dry clay.

Still Adjusting

Hello guys, I still can't post my new projects as I am preparing to move out of the country. I never thought that this will take much of my time preparing for the big event of our lives. Hello guys! I know it is such a long time since I updated my blog. I have been busy this past months as my family and me are preparing for a biggest change of our lives. We will soon be moving to a different environment and I am hopeful to find and meet new wonderful friends. I am hoping that I will soon be able to attend polymer clay arts gallery and workshops in this new place that we are about to live in. As soon as we are settled in, I'll try my best to come up with beautiful art pieces and jewelry designs. So I hope you bear with me and keep in touch from time to time. Miniature Pond

When I was in grade school, my family and I went to my father’s hometown during summer vacation. It was a long ride from the city and I never find it boring. In fact, I would sit near the window side of our car and watched the wonderful scenery as we passed by.  I never wanted to sleep along the way. Living in the city, where tall buildings and cars are all you see; it was quite refreshing to see flock of birds flying, cows resting on the fields, ducks, geese, swans taking a bath on a pond, the smell of fresh air, the sound of gravel as you walked by  and at night time, you see these fireflies dancing around. These are the things I will not trade for money.  Too sad that I never had that experience again since. So, I decided to make my own pond with two lovely swans and two frogs. I looked at this miniature pond whenever I feel sad and it somehow reminds me of my wonderful experience I had as a kid. Why don’t you create a miniature representation that will remind you of something wonderful you have experienced.

Making your own tool

I have been looking for objects I can use for my projects and I found lots of things around the house that I could use. For instance, my sewing needle. I used this to add texture to my art pieces or use to drill holes for delicate projects. Since I have been using this a lot, I decided to enhance this sewing needle and make it more easy to use. I want to share this with you and I hope you'll find this very useful.
